WooCommerce integration

Chat, order tracking and orders in the chat for WooCommerce shops.

Requirements: WooCommerce 7 or newer with pretty permalinks turned on (Settings › Permalinks).

Download the WooCommerce plugin

Install the chat

Install the WordPress plugin from this page and connect it (see the WordPress guide).

Create a REST API key

  1. In WordPress open WooCommerce › Settings › Advanced › REST API.
  2. Choose Add key, give it a name such as Chatumi, pick a user who is a shop manager, and set Permissions to Read/Write.
  3. Copy the Consumer key and Consumer secret. They are shown only once.

Connect the shop to the bot

  1. In Chatumi open Shop and bookings › Connect a store.
  2. Pick WooCommerce, enter your shop address and paste both keys.
  3. Choose Save and test.

Optional: checkout help

Turn on Checkout help on the same page to offer help or a coupon to people who hesitate at checkout.

Check it works

  1. Open your website in a private browser window.
  2. You should see the round chat button in the bottom corner.
  3. Ask a question your website answers, such as your opening hours.
