This agreement applies when Chatumi processes personal data of your website visitors and customers on your behalf. It forms part of our Terms of service; you accept it by using the service.

You (the customer) decide why and how your visitors’ and customers’ personal data is processed: you are the data controller / data fiduciary. Saurav Shinde (sole proprietor, trading as Chatumi) processes that data only on your behalf: we are the data processor.
Chat messages, names, email addresses, phone numbers and other details visitors share in chats or forms; technical data such as page address, approximate location from the IP address, and browser type; and anything you upload to train your bot.
Purpose: to provide the chat, inbox, channels, lead capture and reports you use. Duration: while your account is active and for the retention period you set, then it is deleted.
We process the data only on your documented instructions (your settings and use of the service), and not for our own purposes. We do not sell it or use it to train AI models.
People who work on the service are bound to confidentiality. We protect the data with encryption of keys and secrets, hashed passwords, two-step sign-in, access controls and backups.
We help you answer requests from people to access, correct, export or delete their data; the Privacy page in your workspace has tools for this.
We tell you without undue delay, and within 72 hours where possible, after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data.
When the agreement ends, we delete or return the data, except where the law requires us to keep it.
We use the providers listed at /subprocessors. We inform you of new subprocessors by updating that page at least 14 days before they start; you may object by writing to support@chatumi.com and close your account if we cannot address the objection. AI services you connect with your own keys are your own processors under your agreement with them.
Data may be processed outside your country by us or our subprocessors. Where the law requires it (for example the GDPR), the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses apply to such transfers.
We will answer reasonable questions about how we protect data and make information available to show compliance. Contact support@chatumi.com.
